As you travel up and down the coastline of the Eastern United States, you come across mostly box store style surf shops that give you the vibe that the surfing culture in America has lost its soul. But every once in a while, you have the pleasure of being able to meet a shop owner who embodies culture and soul. As you open the door of the shop with a ships pulley as a counterweight and two cute little dogs on the chair to your right you’re surrounded by decades and decades of culture bringing back the heart and soul of American surfing. John’s deep knowledge and engagement in the surfing community provides you a window in time as he so excellently articulates the past, the present, and his deep knowledge of the current surfing arena up and down the coast of eastern Florida. It was such a pleasure too… For a moment in time… Be mentored and enlightened by such an incredible gentleman yet cool dude. John and his shop are the real deal! Can’t wait to see you next time we’re in town.

Good vibes, great people, a fair price and true surfing progression.

If you truly want to learn to surf, or progress your skills, this is the spot to take a lesson.

John and Gage were knowledgeable, patient, a truly want you to get better. The lesson began with benchmarking our surfing experience, and then watching some videos on proper technique for paddling and popping up. We got to practice these skills out back on some balancing equipment before taking it to the waves. The see-practice-do progression helped me focus and actually improve on the fundamentals.

I never realized how inefficient my paddling stroke had been and after correcting this, I was able to get past the breakers with less energy, and have more in the tank for catching waves.

It’s not a short lesson, so make sure to eat before or bring a snack. (My friend got a bit hangry haha)

We brought our 7 yo daughter to summer camp here. It was a vacation for our whole family who hail from the frigid north. My husband, an avid surfer, bought some surfing accessories and surfed across the street from the shop almost every day. He also rented a board from the shop one day. The service was excellent, friendly and they had just what he needed. Our daughter had a great time, made new friends and gained increased skill and confidence in the water. It was everything we were hoping for! The counselors were young and enthusiastic and made sure our daughter had a good time at her first summer camp. I highly recommend this shop for its friendly service and the unique and laid back summer camp.

I placed an order online. It Seemeilen to be the only way to buy okabashi flip flops to be send to germany. But after the payment nothing happens. I payed included with the transfer costs. I ve sent a reminder without success. Hopefully this "reminder" will help. I am totally willing to change this feedback if my shoes may arrive. Greetings Michael

Update: still the okabashis aren't here. I would like to get a refund than. It is a real pity because my old flip flops wont do it much longer 🙁 ?

My son forgot his swim shorts so I checked Google for near by stores and found this place. I was reluctant thinking I would be forced to pay an outrageous price because there aren't many options close by but to my surprise the shorts affordable AND amazing quality! If I end up in this area again I'll bringing extra money to get myself something next time because there were so many cute bathing suits for women ?

One of the coolest shops i have been in. We were down on vacation from Pennsylvania but what a awesome place. The shop has such an awesome vibe! Our kids came in and they have a pinball machine and turned it on so they could play. Super welcoming and friendly. If and when i am back in the area ill be sure to stop in!

It was great to meet the owner and his dog Bandit! He is a really nice down to earth guy with lots of life experiences to share. We rented two beginner boards and went across the street down to the beach and attempted to surf. He gave us some great tips and the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely come back.
