A dinky supermarket. It’s claustrophobic like a submarine near the registers. I came for a money order and had a wacky experience. First off they open up at 10 am. That’s better than elsewhere but still. Anyway I was waiting and then a line of three formed. It was so uncomfortable and awkward! Some supervisor kept on coming in and out of her office. Then some lady said she had to go to lunch. There was a line! Poor organization! Lame! So then some lady grabbed a document that was in front of me and while she did that she poured her drink on my shoe! Luckily it wasn’t sticky or thick. The money order area didn’t open till 1005 and that’s very lame since I’m sure they saw the line.
The store seems to be fairly well stocked. The aisles aren’t so claustrophobic as the front of the store. Parking lot to the side of the store. It’s often packed but never really completely full.

Reasonable neighborhood store. Gets very busy in the evenings with not enough cashiers for a fast checkout so go in the morning if you can. Prices are average. Goods selection is somewhat limited.

Bought some smoked crayfish at Jons this afternoon. in the evening I opened a bottle of beer and opened the package with smoked crayfish. A wild stench emanated from the bag of crayfish. This store does not comply with sanitary standards and food storage standards !!! This is ?

I would give this store a 0 if I could... the only reason I ever stepped foot in this place is its location. That being said, this place (and its surrounding area) is disgusting. It also caters to a *very* small clientele- see photo for a hint. Based on this location, I have no desire to go to any other Jons, family owned or not. I have never bothered with fresh produce here and the only thing I have consistently found convenient is the ice cream (and eggs but this store isn't cheap). If you're getting one thing, like I attempted earlier today, because I did not want to break a large bill or charge my card for one thing less than ten dollars, the only coins this place accepts are in rolls from the bank***. Apparently Jons employees cannot take a minute to count, but it's okay that I, as a customer, typically must wait forever in line for who knows what type of transaction ahead of me due to a shortage of cashiers (earlier this evening was actually miraculously short, go figure). I have worked retail and I never refused a customer for using legitimate currency, !change!, when they had accumulated enough to be rid of. Perhaps counting at the end of the evening is more strenuous, but that's just business. But because of this policy at Jons, I had no desire to support this already unimpressive business who refused my well counted, clean, change, (though the cashier and manager weren't rude about it, just firm). Instead, I opted to support another local business that was a bit farther away. I will happily avoid Jons forevermore.

Jons is ripping customers off on the sale items and they have been doing it for YEARS. I have been shopping there for over eight years and practically EVERY time I shop there I am ripped off on the sale items. For example, today, the Mazola Oil was supposed to be 128 oz for 13.49 but they only had 90 oz for 13.49 and you were supposed to get a free 2 bl bag of Mahatma rice when you bought the oil. They charged me for the rice 3.99. I did not get a refund. MANY times the sale paper shows that an item is on sale for a certain price and when you get up to the register you are charged full price for the items and when you ask the cashier why, they tell you that you have to buy 2 or 3 or 4 of the item to get the sale price. However; the sale paper does not specify this, so most people only buy one of the items and are charged full price instead of the sale price. Many times produce is on sale and when you run the produce through the register you are charged full price instead of the sale price. Jons is ALWAYS finessing the customers out of their money by luring them into the store on false pretenses through the sale papers that trick the customers. It's really ashamed. Watch out for the sale paper each week because it is a scam!
