It was my first time coming here and I wanted help purchasing my first firearm. I had the pleasure of working with Martin. Prior to coming to this place I was intimidated because I didn’t know what to expect, however the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Martin especially helped me pick out my first firearm. I originally had one in mind but thankfully Martin saw that I was left handed and struggled a bit with the gun since it wasn’t ambidextrous. So he kindly recommended a gun that was more comfortable for my hand and since I was a lefty.

Taking the test was easy and the staff made the process to purchase even easier. I felt comfortable being there and asking questions, and Martin was both informative and helpful. I highly recommend this store and staff if you’re new and curious about getting into firearms!

I love Turner's - Torrance - because I walked in and got exactly what I needed. Fishing license, new fishing reel that was well priced. I also got frozen bait . I was out surf fishing in less than an hour. Fantastic place and well organized.

Some of the staff members exhibit unprofessional behavior and a lack of courtesy. It's important to remember that no one is forcing you to work there; if you're unhappy with your job, consider finding another one. Please treat those responsible for ensuring you receive your paycheck with respect. Additionally, the wait times are unreasonably long. I'm confident there's a more efficient way to manage this process, as people have more important things to do than wait in line listening to the employees talk about what they had for lunch instead of working. I'll give it one more chance but if the wait is still ridiculously long, then I'm taking my money elsewhere. I'd rather spend more and wait less.

I would suggest you avoid this store and buy your outdoor items elsewhere.

This store took my deposit and lied to me about how long the order processing time would take. “6-8 weeks” turned into “12-16 weeks” to “it could take a year and a half and there’s no way for us to know”

I have tried reaching out to the store customer service via phone and in person but I have been met with immediate frustration/attitude. It’s been 5 months since I placed my order and it seems nobody from this location is willing to provide any answers.

Other stores have been willing to order the same things in a reasonable time, but Turner’s already took my money…

I purchased many firearms from Turner's in the past. Their competitive price was the main reason I chose them. Recently the wait time there is horrendous. As I am getting older, I see how time is more valuable than money. On last visit I waited for 2 hours just to see if they can order a firearm for me and when it was my turn the sales behind the counter just gave me a no for an answer. They should dedicate a person just to answer questions, sell ammo, and facilitate handgun certification test. I will look else for all my firearms purchase from now on.

Wow, I went to the checkout with fishing lures I needed and the guy said "anything else", and I said "not sure which one of those BB guns hanging behind you is the most accurate?". I was prepared to spend upwards of 500 if there was one worth it. I was thinking (some have scopes and what not) they might be a good option for some target fun. Then he said "I have no idea, I wouldn't own one of those, I only deal with the real thing". I didn't re-engage with him because frankly there was no correct retort that couldn't be further belittled. I wonder why they even bother to have them, and especially in a space that gets so much attention. Either way I won't be back for more emasculating.
