We have used Christy Sports for years and they always do a great job. Excellent customer service with helping to select the right equipment for each individual. The extra cost for the demo package is well worth it to be able to get different skis for variable conditions. We had some days with 7-14” of fresh powder, so the wider/longer skis were a blast to ski on!!

So whether trying skiing or downhill mountain biking for the first time the process can be intimidating. Couldn't have been easier when we rented from Double Diamond for mountain biking. There is a brief reservation system done in the store and then staff help you with bikes and equipment. The staff member couldn't have been more professional or nicer assisting us in the whole process. Honestly a little intimidating about biking down a mountain for the first time but the equipment was outstanding(bikes, helmets(take the ones that protect your full face) and shin guards(also a high recommendation). Chest protection is also an option included in the rental. From there its a two minute walk to the gondola bike haul tickets and your away. There are easy and more difficult paths to bike down the mountain based on ability. Thanks folks. We had an unbelievable day.

Christy Sports delivered our ski equipment and snowboards promptly and made sure everything was a perfect fit for us to enjoy our entire week at the Grand Colorado Peak eight in Breckenridge. They also picked the equipment up at the end of our vacation. What an awesome service they provide at an affordable price.

The Lionshead store made our rental experience great. I always dread the rush and difficulty in renting. Wet boots, poor fitting boots, beat up old skis. But not here. Boots were warm and dry, skiis were freshly sharpened and waxed. Service was excellent. Had notes in the system on what we rented last year, speeding up the process. But most of all the boots were probably the most comfortable, I have ever rented, without them being loose beginner boots. Again service was great too. They helped one of us (not me) put their boots on every morning. Highly recommend renting from Christy Lionshead.

I reserved skis and boots at the Lionshead location prior to my trip. When I arrived, one clerk was at the register eating and scrolling through is phone. Since he was the only staff member no assisting customers, I asked him if he could help. He sighed, looked up from his phone, and asked what I needed. It was clear that had annoyed him. After going through the basic Q&A, he brought out skis and boots. The skis looked like yard sale items, scuffed on the edges and poorly waxed. I requested a different pair and he said that was all they had in that size. I had a terrible first day with both the skis and the boots (too tight, causing calf pain). I returned at the end of the day to request different skis for the following day, and a much more pleasant staff member brought new skis after asking specific questions about my experience and style of skiing. I explained that the boots were too tight on my calfs and he suggested that it was my underpants causing the pain. I returned at the end of a better day thanks to different skis, but with the same calf issues. A different staff member added "heel risers" to the boots I rented because they did not have anymore rentals in my size, and that resolved the issue. I think the quality of service you should expect from Christy depends on the staff member assisting you. The first person lacked basis customer service skills. I also think that this particular location has a limited supply of equipment, as opposed to Vail Village or surrounding areas. I try to get out to Vail yearly, and it's easier to rent equipment, as I've had no issues in the past. But I will not rent from the Lionshead location in the future.

Very quick boot fitting and ski pick up. There was no wait on a Tuesday morning. Great location, 1 minute walk to Born Free lift and gondola. You can store your skis and poles overnight. Easiest ski rental experience we’ve had.

This week I got a few days of skiing in up at Vail. My old boots were killing me, first trip following ankle surgery, so I dropped by Christy Sports. Matt took great care of me, set me up with demo boots and skis. The fit was a huge improvement. I bought the boots. Overnight he made some modifications on the foot bed and side wall of the boots plus mounted new bindings on my skis. I was set by the next morning. Best experience I’ve ever had at a ski shop. Not what I expected at a super busy resort, only steps from the Gondola.
Definitely worth going there, great shop, selection, and service.

I came in with repeat pain from my boot I had purchased at another Christy’s location. Bryant worked with me on several remedies to alleviate the pain. When none of them worked they stood by their guarantee and got me in the correct boot. They really do care and want you to be satisfied and stoked. This integrity earned a longtime customer. Will return for my future ski needs.
