We stayed here for the Bills at Texans game. I was a little hesitant with some of the reviews, but we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is the closest hotel to the stadium. You literally walk out the back of the hotel through a gate, and you are in the parking lot. I thought the lobby and bar area were nice for hanging out Saturday night and then after the game (they looked like they had recently been upgraded). The room was fine, nothing special, but it was comfortable for two nights. Not much around the stadium, so we ubered into Midtown, and that was easy. The front desk was very nice and a special shout out to Tamika. If we ever come for another game, we would definitely stay here again.

This being my first time to Houston, I was happy to find a hotel close to where I was visiting with such a great staff and atmosphere. We were helped by Jerry, who answered all our questions and was both helpful and polite. Katie another wonderful front desk staff member was able to help me with a problem and she went above and beyond. On my first day, we had breakfast in the Trellis as Susan took orders, served, and cashed out guests all with a smile. I've also enjoyed reading by the bar as Elizabeth and Monica served me quickly and with a smile.

I would like to compliment the shuttle driver. We have utilized him many times for appointments at MD Anderson. Can’t say enough nice things about him. His mood is always cheery and uplifting when he drives us to my husband appts. He is truly a blessing and compassionate individual. Always remembers us when we return for additional visits at MD Anderson. God bless him.

People need to understand this is an older hotel. I stayed here once when the Astrodome was still operational. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. Great value for the price. Close to MD Anderson. My only real problem was the staff being late for breakfast. I had a small window (06:00-06:15am) and all I was able to enjoy was coffee. Only half the food and no utensils. NOT GOOD!

The customer service at this property was elite. JERRY at the front desk was top notch! He was knowledgeable, helpful, and kind! He made the stay extra special! Definitely an asset to the hotel! Also, the convenient location of this property was certainly great! You won’t go wrong with selecting this property! Kudos to the staff! Well done.

Review of Holiday Inn near NRG Stadium in Houston - 1 Star

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn near NRG Stadium in Houston was incredibly disappointing. From start to finish, the experience fell far below expectations.

Upon entering my room, I was greeted with a sight of disarray. The room was dirty, the floor was inexplicably wet, and to add insult to injury, the toilet was broken. The towel rack in the shower was also broken, adding to the discomfort.

The hotel's lack of maintenance was further evident when only one out of three elevators was working, leading to long wait times and frustration for guests.

The breakfast offered was mediocre at best, with limited options and subpar quality.

To top it all off, despite arranging a late checkout, the cleaning staff repeatedly knocked on my door on the day of departure, causing unnecessary disturbances and creating a sense of urgency.

Overall, my experience at the Holiday Inn near NRG Stadium was marred by cleanliness issues, maintenance neglect, poor service, and disruptions. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
