Leith Links

Great park. I stay nearby to this park. Went for a tennis session here last Saturday at the Leith Links Tennis Park. It's a great place to play tennis. Very cheap rate, only 1£ per hour. Booking is very easy. There are 3 courts. Highly recommended...

Great place for recreation! Green open space with tennis court and a couple of newly built playgrounds for children and also gardening sectors. Very alive and yet peaceful atmosphere here. Such a lovely park! Very popular indeed.

Lovely, wide open park with community cafe, tennis courts,children’s play area and lots of benches. Situated in the popular area of Leith.

This is a lovely park/grass area to walk and hang out with friends. Obviously very quiet right now but will be a great place to meet when lockdown is over. Lots of places to sit and there are shops and cafes surrounding as well. Beautiful.

It's like a large green thing in the middle of a larger more grey thing. If you look really hard you can see the sky from it. But it hurts your neck if you do it to long.

Walking through the park at night reminded me of the novels of Arthur Conan Doyle where he mentioned about the dog appearing out of the mist. 😂😂.. it’s a bit creepy to walk around the place at night and in the early mornings due to the fog! But i loved it!

Huge and beautiful park in the heart of Leith. Plenty of space to go for a walk, exercise, or just enjoy a bbq. You'll find a kids play park, community crofts, Sunday Market, tennis court, outdoor fitness machines, water fountain to refill your bottle, monuments and it's surrounded by many local cafes and restaurant. It's a must if you live in the area!

Tucked away in the corner of this well used recreation area is the authenticated birthplace of the ‘modern’ game of golf. It comprises of a (bronze) figure of a player on the tee, along with three plaques giving its historical link to the birth of golf and the introduction of the original 13 rules of play. The links are a common area for walking, dog walking, football and other localised community events. The links were also home to a cricket club but am not sure if cricket is still played there. It is a well established outdoor space and well served by flat footpaths that crisscross the suitably maintained green spaces. Making the area accessible to anyone with mobility challenges. Numerous bus routes and the trams will get visitors there from all directions pointing to Leith and the city centre. A wall around the perimeter of the links should take a seasoned recreational walker approximately 40 / 45 minutes comfortably.
