The Lioness of Leith

Literally the best burger I’ve had in ages maybe ever and I’m 58 years old American from Nebraska the beef state. Onion rings were great cocktails were amazing. Service was first class the Pub is beautiful. Book ahead as they’re quite busy most of the time and remember that they do good food not fast food! 10 out of 10 would recommend can’t wait to return!

Really lovely place. Fab selection of burgers and sides. I'm not a drinker but the cocktail menu looked exciting. I thoroughly enjoyed my burger an fries, super good quality and flavour. Staff were really friendly.

I first saw this place driving past and really liked the look of it. It has excellent kerb appeal. Going in through the gorgeous quirky entrance door did not dissapoint. The vibes were really good, nice muted lighting with the buzz of people at tables. The service and the food and drinks were excellent and also very reasonably priced. I'd recommend the hand cut chips. They were to die for.

Our first night in Edinburgh, our hotel recommended this burger pub and it did not disappoint. Clean, friendly, and quick service with no feel of rush when done. Cocktail menu was a big hit.

Visiting from Canada and came here on recommendation— we were not disappointed! A few of us got the chicken nachos and the portions were more than generous. I got the smash burger and the beef melted in your mouth. The staff were kind and helpful. A very relaxing and warm atmosphere with a fantastic playlist of folk and softer rock music. You will struggle to find a better burger. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing burgers. Great food, good choice of beer on tap and great atmosphere. Busy at dinner. Don't be in a rush. The food is worth it. We are from Texas and the beef on the burgers was top notch. The chicken on the nachos was great as well. Thanks for a great meal.

I don't go to pubs much as I can't hear conversations over the background music due to age related hearing loss. The Lioness is maybe a bit less noisy than others. The chips are nice, the beer selection is good. It has a nice Victorian pub vibe and cheerful staff. We had a good staff night out here and for younger people I would recommend it.
